HEP bulletin - July 2024

Student information

You can now view approved applications for academic year 2024/25. View this on the Student Information Service (SIS) using the view student information option.

It’s good practice to check this before the start of the academic year. This will let you make amendments to applications before the first day of term. We recommend you use a pre-liability change of circumstance (CoCs) to change a tuition fee amount or receiving provider.

CMS log in Courses Management Service

We're aware of some users receiving an error code while logging in to CMS.

Our technical team is investigating this as a priority, and we'll let you know as soon as we've fixed the issue.

In the meantime, our advice is to clear your cache and delete cookies on your internet browser. This should correct the error and allow you to access CMS. Google Chrome is our preferred browser, please try to use this to limit disruption.

Bursary Administration Service (BAS)

We're aware of an issue with academic year 2024/25 household income.

Currently, it's not being correctly passed from our student finance assessment system into BAS, which means it is not showing on student lists.

We’ve identified the root cause of this issue, and we'll carry out a fix on Monday 28 July.

All students who apply after 28 July will have their household income displayed. We’ll also complete a fix on all academic year 2024/25 applications from before 28 July. We’ll let you know when we’ve completed these changes. We’re also checking academic year 2023/24 applications to identify any affected students.

Latest system updates

You can find information on any recent changes and updates to our system on the Higher Education (HE) system updates document. You can find updates under the Resources section of the HEP services website.

End of year cleardown

As we approach the end of the academic year, I'd like to thank you all for your ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. Year on year progress is important to us for improved accuracy. This has a positive impact on our customer journey.

Please continue to clear your worklists of any outstanding confirmations for previous academic years by the end of July.
