Part-time undergraduate applications are open for 2022/23
Part-time undergraduate students from all domiciles can now apply for student finance.
If students have taken out a loan with Student Finance England, Student Finance Wales or Student Finance Northern Ireland before, they can use their existing online account to apply. Otherwise, they'll need to create an account.
Please encourage your students to apply online as soon as possible. This will help to make sure they get their student finance in time for starting their course.
However, if you have any courses that are not yet submitted to our Courses Management Service (CMS), you should not publicise the launch of the student finance system. Until you submit your courses, any students who apply for finance to attend them will have their applications pended. This may cause delays to their finance.
Student Finance England
Part-time students can apply for Tuition Fee Loans. If their course started on or after 1 August 2018 they can also apply for Maintenance Loans.
Part-time distance learning students are not eligible for Maintenance Loans unless they cannot attend their course in person because of a disability.
Undergraduate students need to reapply for funding for each year of their course.
Students can find more information and apply on GOV.UK. We've also created a short film about student finance for part-time SFE students.
Student Finance Wales
