Full-time undergraduate students from Wales and the EU can apply for 2023/24

It's time for new and continuing full-time undergraduate students from Wales to apply for student finance. Please encourage your course applicants to do this as soon as possible.

Full-time undergraduate EU Tuition Fee Loan only applications are now also open.

Student Finance Wales

The easiest way for students to apply is through their online account. It should only take around 30 minutes.

New students do not need a confirmed place at university or college to apply. They should apply using their preferred choice. Please encourage them to check their course on their application as soon as they accept your course offer. They can then check and, if necessary, correct this on their online account.

Please also remind your continuing students they’ll need to reapply for the new academic year.

To make sure students get their funding in place for the start of their course:

  • new students should apply before 26 May 2023
  • continuing students should reapply before 30 June 2023

Students should visit our Discover Student Finance page to find out what funding is available. We'll also be publishing useful information on our social media channels:

Undergraduate part-time and postgraduate applications

We expect part-time undergraduate applications to open from June 2023 and postgraduate applications from May 2023.
