Registration confirmation — Study abroad and placements
LLE students need a Registration Confirmation for every application where we've approved a maintenance loan or supplementary grant. This includes applications where the student is undertaking a period of study abroad or a work placement.
Once we've approved a student's application, their registration status will update to Awaiting Registration Confirmation. The application will then appear on the Registration Worklist no earlier than 30 days before the course start date.
You should complete the Registration Confirmation as soon as possible. This is to make sure students receive their funding on time. This is particularly important for students who need funding before their course begins.
In general, students can receive study abroad maintenance funding up to 25 days before the course start date. However, in some circumstances, they may need funding earlier. In these cases, the student must submit a request and provide supporting evidence using the appropriate form.
Within their online account, students will have access to either:
- Work Placement Details Form
- Study Abroad Details Form
The student must complete the relevant sections of the form and ask you to complete Section 4. You must complete the form before the student uploads it to their online account for assessment of entitlement.
If we've already approved a manual funding request and paid the student, you must still submit a Confirmation of Registration (CoR). Any further scheduled payments will be withheld until we receive and approve the CoR.
