Archiving Courses and Modules
The Archive function should be used for courses that you no longer wish to be active. You can also archive courses with incorrect details that cannot edited.
To archive a course variant:
- select View from the Select Action dropdown
- select Archive This Variant on the variant details page
- review the message that appears and select yes if you wish to continue
To archive a core course:
- select view from the Select Action dropdown
- select Archive This Course on the course details page
- review the message that appears and select yes if you wish to continue
A core course can only be set to Archive if all variants created within it have been set to Archive.
If there are Active modules within a course variant, you’ll need to set these to Archive before the course variant can be set to Archive.
To archive a module variant:
- select view from the Select Action dropdown
- select Archive This Variant on the variant details page
- review the message that appears and select yes if you wish to continue
To archive a core module:
- select view from the Select Action dropdown
- select Archive This Module on the module details page
- review the message that appears and select yes if you wish to continue
A core module can only be set to Archive if all variants created within it have been set to Archive.
To revert archived courses or modules back to Active:
- select view in the Select Action dropdown
- select Activate This Course/Variant/Module in the course or module details page.
If you have multiple course variants under a core course, you can archive some of these without affecting the rest of the variants or the core course that you wish to keep active.
