Postgraduate student finance applications are now open for academic year 2026/27

Student Finance England (SFE) and Student Finance Wales (SFW) students can now apply for postgraduate master’s and doctoral loans for academic year 2026/27.
If students have applied for undergraduate student finance in the past, they can use their existing online account to apply. Otherwise, they will need to create a new account.
Continuing students do not need to re-apply for their funding, it will automatically roll over for their next year. They should sign in to their online account to make sure their information is up to date.

SFE students applying for academic year 2026/27 can apply for:
- a loan of up to £13,206 for a postgraduate master’s course.
- a loan of up to £31,122 for a postgraduate doctoral course
- Disabled Student’s Allowance
