The Attendance Management Service Definition.
The Student Information Service is hosted on the HE Portal and enables Higher Education Providers to:
The service offers providers two submission methods of Registration (for the release of maintenance to student) /Attendance (for the release of tuition fees to the provider) Confirmations and Change of Circumstances (CoC) notifications, either via the online screens OR by uploading files into SIS from your own internal systems.
Should providers wish to use any of the export / import facilities, Technical Specifications that detail file formats are available on request from the HEP Services Team.
The Change of Circumstance (CoC) Service, is part of the wider Student Information Service (SIS), which utilises the HE Portal, allowing HE Providers to advise SLC of changes to a student's circumstances online.
On submission the notifications are sent automatically for processing. All CoCs must be submitted via SIS with the exception of SAAS & PT Grant students (excluding new Welsh PT Loan & Grant students from AY 2014/15). Changes for SAAS students should be submitted directly to SAAS and for PT Grant students a CoC form should be requested from email@example.com.
Fee Waiver CoCs are automatically created from the information passed from the Bursaries system.
